Sleeping In A Butterfly

We were sleeping in a butterfly
The energy emanates from the back of ours
Circulating to the other wings and back
A loop of sunshine

Cherries

Can't stop thinking about cherries. One day on a picnic boat I saw some people eating cherries - I was wondering how possible it is. It wasn't the season yet. I tried to search it on the market but couldn't found one.

At the moment all I can do is reading Bea's post and dreaming to the day when I can experience it too!

Cry for The Superficial

Just can't help being pissed of by those superficial ppl.

So what if some people went to infamous college or even didn't attend one at all?
If they don't have enough money to buy nice clothes or hang out at cool places?
If they don't have access to fancy things - musics, movies, books, and others - thus have no idea about them?
If they don't have high taste in fashion or appearance?

Are we justified to degrade them? Some people say yes. They stamp those people as cheap, not cool. They are not to be befriended. They are not to be idolized. Idolizing them means cheap.

Sad. These kind of people should look inside themselves and ask: what is it from me that I can be proud of? They answer: Because I'm pretty. Because I'm rich. Because I have 'cool' friends. Because I befriend with celebrities. Because I hang out in 'cool' places. Because I wear what I perceive as trendy clothes. Because my friends are handsome and pretty. Because I go to famous college (regardless how I succeed).

Haha. For your information, it doesn't impress me. It's all stamps from outside. You're nothing compared to those genuine people, who treasure friends as an asset, not just as identity. Who prove that title and association with cool things are nothing, and you can stand in your own feet and succeed as your own with or without those things. Who have good intention and appreciation and respect to others and diversity.

And I am grateful for having such circle. Thank you..

Happiness Project

I stumbled into this book: Happiness Project by Grethen Rubin in my favourite bookshop.Since I've decided that buying books/magazines is a form of self rewarding I finally bought that book. And love it so much! It's about making a resolution each month to work with in order to be happier within the existing day-to-day life - without any radical changing. The projects for each month are simple yet I found it was very effective in creating more happiness to life. And somehow make me feel connected since I found out we have lots of things in common. So it suits me well.
And I plan to follow. Such simple concept - but I love the details how they're put into action. Being physically healthy. Minimize clutter. Connect with friends. Ask for help. Finding passion. And much more.

The Day of Being Domestic

I have a day off today. And it's been spent being domestic. First thing in my mind when I woke up was to try the bread machine I just borrowed from my mom. Unfortunately, the manual was not in the box. So I decided to come over to my parents' to find it. Also of course to see little Ryan. He's so adorable. The first thing I said when I saw him this morning: Hello Ryan! Oh I got a little fan for you! But forgot to bring it.
He enthusiastically answered: Where?
Me: In my house.
Ryan: (change the topic) Let's see the biopori hole! Pus Meong! Kedongdong! (While dragging my hand with his little hand)
So off we went out to see them. It's been a ritual for us, something that's just us. And never bored of it.

Long story short, I was back at home in the afternoon. We tried making basic white loaf. It turned out ok, but not as good as I wanted. I think the flour was not the good one. It's a multi purpose one. Will try bread flour next time. And perhaps I put too much yeast in there. Mixed up the ml and gram.

The next thing we did was trimming the garden. We've been thinking of remodeling it to make it more spacious and clean looking. Sort of zen garden. So we discussed that and reached a conclusion about how we want it done.

After that, I rearranged the kitchen, tidying up, trying to find a nice space for the bread maker Whoa - it's quite a cleaning. And as my spirit was still high, I went straight cleaning the bathroom. I love baking soda! It is so bright!

Finishing my cleaning phase - it's then time to clean myself. What a glorious feeling! A cup of hot tea accompanied my next activity - watching Britain's Got Talents on Youtube - Susan Boyle, Diversity, Connie Talbot, Paul Potts, George Sampson.. Love them. And I got companion, wonderful!

Now, nearing the end of the day, I'm currently waiting for my lentils to cook up. And turn it into meatball for tommorrow's lunch.

But before that, let's have dinner first - delicious ayam panggang slametan and urapan! Yumm..
And I think this book will be my bed time companion.
